The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team launched its diamond anniversary campaign in February, unveiling unique artwork that will decorate each of the team’s iconic Hawk jets. This season, a new show featuring nine aircraft has been added to the agenda, presenting a range of impressive manoeuvres that haven’t been seen in years. The Red Arrows’ display routine is refreshed yearly, ensuring spectators a thrilling experience.
The Red Arrows have released their detailed display schedule for the UK and Europe in 2024, showcasing a diverse range of appearances as they prepare to celebrate their 60th anniversary. The RAF Waddington team is meticulously getting ready to kick off their shows in late May, honouring the historic Battle of Crete from World War Two.
So, the season will kick off with spectacular acrobatics over Souda Bay, where a US Naval Support Activity (Crete Naval Base – the largest and most prominent naval base for NATO in the eastern Mediterranean Sea) is located.

Established in 1964, the Red Arrows made their debut performance at Little Rissington in May 1965 to kick off their display season. Since then, they have flawlessly executed nearly 5,000 shows across 57 countries, captivating audiences numbering in the hundreds of millions. They showcase their skills at a variety of events, from small local country fairs to prestigious airshows and even official state occasions.
