Touted as the world’s leading travel show, ITB Berlin is one of the travel industry’s biggest annual event. The 2011 edition is due to run from Wednesday, March 9th, to Sunday, March 13th, at the Messe Berlin exhibition centre. The show will feature topics related to the future of travel, challenges faced by the hotel industry, environmentally friendly strategies for the future, the implementation of corporate social responsibility, the latest strategies and practices in tourism marketing and successful destination management strategies.
Over 12,500 people, industry experts and public, participated in 2010’s event, an all-time record for ITB Berlin, expected to be broken this year. Since 2004, ITB’s first edition, the convention saw over 60,000 experts from every source and destination country in the world.
The ITB Berlin Convention addresses decision makers in all segments of the global tourism industry, and covers a wide range of current industry topics. Important topics of different tourism segments (future, hospitality, aviation, corporate social responsibility, business travel, travel technology, etc.) as well as issues specific regions or destinations are presented with, will be discussed.
