airberlin has just opened launched two new routes, with daily flights to the capitals of Romania and Bulgaria.
As of today, airberlin will fly once a day to Bucharest and Sofia as it continues the expansion of its Eastern European network to its main hub in Berlin.
Mohammed Nasr, airberlin’s Area Manager for Eastern Europe, told German press that he was delighted to the airline was now flying it’s two new routes:
“With the new flights from Berlin to Bucharest and Sofia, we are now offering flight guests nine destinations in Central and Eastern Europe from Berlin,” announced Nasr.
“Travellers who we welcome in Berlin from Bucharest and Sofia can access our international route network through our hub.”
As well as Sofia and Bucharest, airberlin’s Eastern European network includes non-stop flights to the cities of Budapest, Gdansk, Kaliningrad, Krakow, Moscow and St. Petersburg. The airline plans to extend its network to ten destinations, with the addition of daily flights to Warsaw from March 23.
As well as its Eastern European routes, airberlin offers dozens of feeder flights from cities across Austria, Germany and Switzerland to its main hub in Berlin, and from there to dozens of international destinations.
