OTAScanner Goes Live for Hoteliers Looking to Optimize Revenue

OTAScanner

Greek digital marketing company AboutHotelier has just launched a new hotel rate shopping and intelligence platform called OTAScanner. According to the news from the agency, the tool helps hoteliers scrutinize their revenue management strategies for optimized profitability.

AboutHoteler says client feedback spurred them to create the tool aimed at examining true rate parity in OTAs. The firm says the recently launched OTAScanner platform aims to help hospitality businesses such as hotels, resorts, and vacation rentals optimize their revenue via the simple to use platform. The company’s CEO and co-founder,  Giannis Koutsopoulos offered this:

“Our continuous aim is to keep growing our global client base and accelerate the delivery of the latest data and business intelligence products to the hospitality industry. ”

AboutHotelier is offered as a simple-to-use platform that provides revenue managers and hotel owners with intuitive real-time access to competitor rates; online channel insights; competitors’ availabilities, ratings, reviews and city demand forecasts as well as popular events and holidays.

The company says the tool gleans data that helps impact short and long-term pricing strategies. AboutHotelier also claims OTAScanner increases a hotel’s efficiency in making “timely and relevant business solutions.”

The press from the company says, “Hotels are able to produce and track pricing across all digital channels making it even easier for the consumer to complete a booking.” Interestingly, when I tried to access more information like a price on the company’s website in English, I found a dead link.

According to AboutHotelier, hospitality companies like Blue Villas Collection and SWOT, as well as independent hotels including Egnatia Palace Hotel and Contaratos Beach Hotel, are only some of the companies showing their confidence in the new platform.

Companies like Ratestrip offer OTA scanning technologies along with other business tools at a cost per room, while OTAht offers a solution include in two packages. AboutHotelier includes the tool in their basic and middle package of services and includes it free along with the €250 per month Professional Package (which is spelled wrong in English guys)

Anyway, I’ll try and get free access to a few of these tools to offer a better rundown of capability and value later on. For now it looks like the Greek company has heated up the field, which can only lead to improved value in the end.
