Twitter: Highly Important for UK Travelers

Hotels and other hospitality businesses, which don’t take advantage of Twitter to reach to guests and customers, should take a closer look at this social network. A recent Twitter infographic shows that, in the UK, three quarters of the local residents keep tweeting when on holiday, and 59% access Twitter at least once a day.

Among other interesting statistics, the survey also revealed that 64% of UK travelers use Twitter to stay in touch with people they know, while others use it to share pictures of what they’re doing and search for local recommendations of things to do and places to visit.
