Coming up October 20 – 28, the Association of Friends of the Theatre Ierapetra, in cooperation with the Municipality of Ierapetra,
SOCIAL.CULTURE.A, and the Hoteliers Association of Ierapetra and Southeast Crete present the 8th pan-Hellenic Festival of Amateur Theatre.
The festival is a competition with a focus to strengthen and promote amateur theater and to boost ties in between friends of the Hellenic amateur theater. Interested theater groups from Greece and abroad will participate, and some will win prizes awarded by the Artistic Committee of the Festival. The juries will consist of eminent personalities of the Theatre, literature and the Arts, and the commission.
Prizes to be awarded include honorary A, B, C for Best Performance, Director, A & B actor, A & B, actress, Stage, Costume, Movement, Music, Lighting, Poster, Programme, and the Audience Award.
The Festival offers 2 nights bed and breakfast for out-of-Crete competing teams (for teams of Crete, 1 night with breakfast) and dinner after the show in all the groups.
