Crete and Lasithi Reach Out to Polish Travelers Thru Itaka

A leading Polish tour operator, Itaka will have representatives in Heraklion from October 21st thru 24th to take part in an event presenting local products and services. The company will update their contacts and the various Crete touristic offers to the Polish market. Representatives of various firms and organizations will welcome them. 

Crete is a major destination for vacationers from Poland, and Itaka makes an ongoing presentation of Crete tourism products. The area of Lassithi is redoubling its promotional efforts this year. The Vice-governor of Lasithi, Pelagia Petraki told Sitia Press:

“Crete and especially Lasithi one of the major destinations of Itaka, with direct flights to the airport of Sitia. Our promotion of the region to the Poland market is continuous and includes targeted actions, such as participation in exhibitions and workshop, contacts with tour operators, the organization of press trips, contacts with opinion leaders, and so forth. Other than Scandinavians, the Poles and the British have the largest increases in visitation in recent years.”

The upcoming meetup with Itaka is being sponsored by the famous Si Mel honey company, and by the Agricultural Cooperative of Kritsa.

Current Itaka deals to Crete are the lowest in all Greece from the Polish company. Crete packages start at 301 GBP
