Azimuth Airlines

Azimuth Airlines will now operate regular flights from Ufa to Yerevan. The Russian airline has pursued the route in the hopes that increased flights will spur more tourism to the amazing Armenian destinations.

The report published by the Federal Air Transport Agency says flights should begin next year. Azimuth Airlines has an aircraft fleet consisting of SSJ-100, a new family of aircraft that offers passengers the same comfort as in the cabin of a long-haul airplane of high capacity.

In a recent Civil Aviation Committee cabinet meeting, Chairperson Tatevik Revazyan said:

“We have eight new confirmed directions, but we plan more than ten until the opening of the summer season. The Russian Azimuth Airlines is opening a flight to Kaluga, it has addressed us: the flights will start from December 14.”

Azimuth has been gradually increasing it’s all SSJ-100 fleet boasting 10 aircraft as of this report.

Armenia has just recently launched a series of marketing campaigns in several countries including Russia, China, and Georgia in order to further promote tourism. The added flights by Azimuth are sure to help this effort.
