Foursquare on Steroids: Grafetee’s Mobile App

Launched early in 2012, Grafetee is a smart location-based mobile app designed for people to both bookmark (they call it Worldmarking) and share real places, as well as for websites to display useful content when others are looking for it. All free and all via smart devices.

Available for smartphones and other (smart) mobile devices, the location-based networking platform allows users to bookmark real world places and events in order to just collect them for future reference or even to create accurate destinations guides and share them with an interested audience. While early use makes one think of Foursquare, Grafetee actually uses the popular app along with Wikipedia and others to enhance the usability.

Aiming to provide only the best and most useful information for consumers, Grafetee uses location-based public data such as user-created public and private feeds, as well as third party data sources like Foursquare and Wikipedia, but more interestingly from businesses and resources of any kind really. Imagine using not only Foursquare, but Google Places, Zagat, Yelp, Open Table, you name it. Not to mention Bob & Tom’s BBQ, or whatever, adding their down home cooking to the mix.

Without expressly requiring a user registration, Grafetee offers all users the option of keeping their identity anonymous. Moreover, for social media enthusiasts who enjoy sharing, the mobile app can also be linked/unlinked with Facebook.

Regarding businesses, Grafetee offers benefits for both owners, as well as for website’s users. While visitors will be able to bookmark location and events displayed on the site in order to access them later, websites will have the chance to provide useful content and to develop by establish a convenient relationship for both parties.

“Our ultimate goal is to provide businesses with a next-generation tool that enables customer contact in ways that are relevant for both, creating win-win relationships designed to improve business to consumer relations on a global scale,” said Juha Huttunen, Grafetee CEO.

Using the convenient Grafetee “bookmarklet” users can add web pages and places directly to their feeds on Grafetee via their web browser. And as Huttunen suggests, the channel development between B2C and B2B and so forth, it where the real power of such apps exists. The CEO of the budding company assures me that what’s around the corner is quite amazing, where adaptations post testing are concerned. We shall see.

Already existing in the App Store and Google Play, Grafetee is available for free for all Apple and Android mobile devices.
