Flight-In-Sight! Tracks Your Flight in Real Time

Flight-In-Sight! is a real time flight tracking tool, that shows passengers where their plane is located when it’s not at the end of the jetway. The tracker was developed by FlightView, whose technology is already used in many major US airports, like Pittsburgh International Airport, Des Moines International Airport, Casper-Natrona County International Airport, Greater Rochester International Airport, Lafayette Regional Airport, and Quad City International Airport.

Flight-In-Sight! is the first-of-its-kind visual gate display, that shows airplane’s position and flight path; as well as the radar weather affecting their flights; departure and arrival times, time remaining and in-air stats like speed, altitude and aircraft type.

“By showing the inbound aircraft and its route visually on a map, travelers can see for themselves exactly where their plane is located and anticipate when they’re likely to board, easing the burden on airline staff,” – said Mike Benjamin, CEO of FlightView.

FlightView gate displays are configurable and can be populated with different flight and weather information to suit the needs of the audience. A full demo of the new Flight-In-Sight! display will be offered this week at the 2011 ACI-NA Annual Conference in San Diego, CA, at booth #625.
