Croatia Gets Ready for the 13th Biograd Boat Show 2011

Croatia’s largest boat exhibition will be taking place in the former capital of the medieval Croatian Kingdom, Biograd na Moru, at the Kornati marina. This is the 13th edition of the Biograd Boat Show, and the first Croatian autumn nautical fair. The organizers expect a more than 185 exhibitors with more than 250 vessels this year, a similar number of participants as in 2010.

The first Biograd Boat Show was organized in 1999 as a Spring Days of Open Doors event, intended for companies operating within the marina. The event was the first of its kind in Northern Dalmatia, and was organized by ILIRIJA d.d. together with the Yacht Club of Biograd and charter companies operating in the marina. The show takes place in the autumn, in October, only since 2004. Since, the show has been recording an annual growth of over 50%.

This year, the show takes place 20-23 October, every day from 10:00 am till dusk, when the party begins at Marina Kornati West, featuring JINX in concert. For the first time, a Boat Show Marketplace is organized, where participants and visitors may purchase various nautical items. The main retail exhibitor will be the Croatian Association of Nautical Stores (HUNT) which will have 8 retailers offering special pricing, particularly on end of season inventory.

Some of the premieres already announced for the show are: Selene 53; Salpa 30 GT; Greenline 40; Croline 38; Benetau Sense 50; Merry Fisher 6 Marlin; Bavaria 40 S sailing yacht; Adria Vektor 1002 redesign; Hallberg-Rassy 54; Elan 394 sailing yacht; and many other world-class yachts and boats.
