The festival is organized by A.N.T.R.E.C. Tulcea, and will take place in the center of Crişan, on the Sulina arm, 47 km. from Tulcea. During the festival, participants can see how the local fish soup is prepared, and they can enjoy fish soup, gourmet specialties based on traditional recipes, and prepared by skilled chefs from all over the territory.

The festival reveals a lot about the different cultures of the ethnic groups inhabiting the Delta, and how these have influenced the local traditions and cuisine. A cookery competition will determine which is the best local fish soup.

The festival is complete with local folklore, interpreted live by various ethnic groups.
