Limassol Hosts Euro-Mediterranean Music Celebration

The Cultural Movement of Limassol ‘Epilogi’ kicks off, A Euro-Mediterranean Music Celebration in Cyprus, a series of concerts and other activities at Heroes Square and the Rialto Theater in Limassol starting tomorrow. International artists from many genres are scheduled to  perform at some of Cyprus’ finest venues.

From Thursday until Sunday visitors to on of Cyprus’ most popular destinations will be treated to the art of literally hundreds of International artists. Upcoming musicians, as well as noted performers from various regions are slated to perform. Genres representing are to include; rock, ethnic, jazz, hip–hop and reggae, and classical. The event will also be unique in that performances bridge several cultures to bring a truly Euro-Mediterranean feel to the celebration.  According to one performer, Mr. Doros Zesimos, the Expo will present a special opportunity to Cypriots;

“As Cyprus, we have the opportunity through such festivals to show that over the last few years we have made huge strides when it comes to live music, in terms of classic as well as modern and traditional music”.

A Euro-Mediterranean Music Celebration in Cyprus brings together budding artists from EU states and their counterparts in the Arab world for a truly one of a kind event. By way of example, the Vytautas Magnus University‘s chamber orchestra (image above) is slated to perform.
