Under the evocative banner “May All the Village’s Locked Doors Open” («Να ανοίξουν όλες του χωριού οι κλειδωμένες πόρτες»), a unique cultural celebration is taking place in the mountain village of Christos, the gateway to the magnificent Selakanos Forest, on August 1 and 2.
Co-organized by the Region of Crete – Regional Unit of Lasithi, the event aims to bring Crete’s rural heritage back to life while introducing visitors to an authentic side of the island that many tourists never experience.
