For 2019 the highly successful program of free tours of the Municipality of Chania “CONSCIOUS OF THE POPULAR US” is to continue. The program is an initiative carried out in collaboration with various ministries, tourism entities, and travel operators the Archaeology, tourism and other operators to foster education and touristic value for Chania.
The first tour will place Sunday 12 May at the ancient city of Aptera in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and the Ephorate of Antiquities of Chania in the framework of the anniversary actions for the cultural routes.
The second tour will take place Sunday 19th of May 2019 in the Monastery of Agia Kyriaki, following the Saturday 25 May 2019 tour of the Lighthouse Chania & in the Permanent exhibition of Ancient and Traditional Shipbuilding. The President of the maritime Museum Crete Emmanuel Petrakis will be present. The tour will also to take the Saturday 1 June 2019, with the theme:“The the old town past and present” (central – West side) from Emmanuel Μανούσακα.
