This Weekend in Bucharest: Marché de Noël – Designer Gifts’ Fair

It’s that time of the year: cities put on a Christmas coat. Lights and arrangements, depending on the country, can be seen and admired. Shops decorate their displays – and interiors – with beautiful Christmas decorations. Everyone buys gifts, and almost everyone is waiting for Santa. From a spiritual point of view, Christians prepare for one of the most important celebrations: the birth of Jesus Christ.

When choosing a gift, it is important to pick something the receiver would enjoy. Yes, one should know in advance what their loved ones want, and what their friends would like, but this is not always the case. So, visits to various Christmas markets and fairs can help finding inspiration and the perfect gifts for everyone.

Here’s an idea: choose a designer gift. If you are in Bucharest this weekend, we recommend Marché de Noël – Designer Gifts’ Fair. For magical holidays you can pick something from the numerous tasty treats from Omnivore’s Dilema, or choose designer gifts – clothes, design objects, jewelry or tree decorations.

The mood will be enhanced with sophisticated jazz arrangements, and photos by Serban Mestecaneanu, included in the album SoNoRo Mansion.

This event has guests from Austria, Graz region, so, apart from Romanian designers, prepare to admire (and maybe purchase) designer Austrian items: Artefakt, beSITZobjekte by Beatrix Somweber, COWstyle, dieKaeferbohne, Fugoo, gertrud taschendesign, iLLEK, IvyDesign, Keckstein, Murglas, Schmuckes, Thomas Hasenbichler & Herbert Klamminger.
