Zagreb to Host the International Tourism Fair Crotour 2012

The International Tourism Fair Crotour 2012 is an important marketing event organized by the Croatian Ministry of Tourism together with the Croatian National Board and The World Tourism Organization (WTO). The fair aims to reveal the latest trends in tourism and Croatia’s best features as a special destination for this year.

Crotour 2012 will be held in Zagreb between 9-12 May, greeting its participants with travel destinations and services, maximum support in organizing the next tourist session, fresh suggestions in purchasing and developing new ideas, specialized programs and entertaining events, as well as a special project called The Best in Croatia – a promotion of the Croatian tourism at home, marking the official beginning of the tourist season. The project will highlight natural beauties, historical localities, events and customs, culture, nightlife and more.

Designed for travel agencies, owners of hotels, restaurants, marinas and other tourist facilities, potential investors, professional organizations, media and, of course, the public, Crotour is a unique opportunity  to connect all travel venues and niches, and to give participants the chance to establish a better marketing strategy for the future.

Perhaps the most important aspect of modern travel is an environment-aware approach of tourism, which will be encouraged by Crotor, with solutions, ideas and innovative concepts that will help travel operators to better understand the importance of protecting natural ecosystems and the whole environment already vulnerable. Moreover, Crotur will promote a firm conservation of the local cultural heritage, the sustenance of ethnic differences as well as the compliance required by the variations between them.

  • InGa – fair of food, drinks, and gastronomic innovations
  • Vinovita – fair of wine and the equipment for viticulture and viniculture
  • HOTEL&GASTROTEH – fair of hotel and restaurant equipment

Other important events accompanying Crotur are:  “Cro Summer Job”, featuring companies in search of seasonal workforce for 2012, Neretva Boatmen with the traditional boat marathon and the Assembly of the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies (UHPA) ready to held several discussions and presentations on various tourism related topics.
