Welcome to Russia Joins Forces With ASTA

In keeping with our recent story about Russian’s renewed program to bolster tourism, a press release today from Welcome-to-Russia seems significant. The premier travel portal that supports accommodating travelers to Russia, WTR has now joined the prestigious American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA).

With the US relationship with Russia growing more light heated this year, many feel travel to Russia from North America can only be on the upswing. Add to this Russia’s desire and need for the travel industry, and a recipe for a boom travel destination can easily be seen. But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Welcome-to-Russia now joins travel giants like Sabre, Hyatt, and the elite of the travel industry.

ASTA is the world’s largest association of travel professionals, a community of people, and a fantastic resource for products related to travel. Welcome-to-Russia was once primarily focused on rental flats and other such real estate, but the platform has now expanded to include a growing list of support areas.

As the ASTA site proclaimed, they are; “Dedicated to the business of selling travel.” In the coming months, Russia will surely have a lot to offer. Stay tuned.
