For travelers to any part of the world, especially those who enjoy the fruits of the vine, connecting with the world of Twitter experts can only be a plus. To that end we compiled the following list of the best wine experts on Twitter, and those who make the best use of images there.
The following top ten is in no specific order. There are also a number of top notch wine expert sources not listed because they make little or no use of images. Let me put it this way, if one cannot taste a wine, what’s the next best thing on the Internet or via mobile?
So, here are some of Twitter’s most prolific and expert wine gurus.

Food and Wine Magazine’s mission is “to find the most exciting places, new experiences, emerging trends and sensations.” Well, if the image below of renown Chef Michael White about to chomp into what looks like a candidate for burger of all time, if this can be indicative – then the magazine practices what they preach.
On the wine end of things, that burger has to go with a full red wine of some kind – “Can anyone suggest?” I just know I am hungry now.

Wine Spectator shows off all that is flavor filled and liquid via their tweets and pics. Not the Ansel Adams of photographers, the SM manager here does know a thing or two about not only wine, but tweets too. While I will never understand how a profile can get a Klout score of 80 something by only following 20 people – this is not the issue, now is it?
Wine Dine TV apparently knows some stuff other wine experts on Twitter do not – for one thing they follow and Tweet to over 60,000 people. So, their dogma of “exploring the pleasures of Wine + Food + Travel = Good Life”, it somehow rings more true with a balanced social media presence. Hey, I should know.

When you run across these guys on Twitter, glancing to the left sidebar you’ll quickly notice Rioja Wine loves to share pics. The image below of their lovely wine ambassador, Ana Fabriano at a NYC book signing is but one of many shares. If wines were meant to go with food ever, these people know all about how to put them together. There’s a Rioja wine for every palate, and budget.
Wine Pleasures is another really engaging wine source on Twitter. They give love and get love from their constituents, plus share some pretty amazing photographs of the wine arts. And along those lines, there’s nothing quite like the sight of someone enjoying, and particularly where wine tasting is concerned. The image below tells a bit of a story of Spain, and the sweet bouquet of a nice red.

Wine Library is another one of those purely photogenic Twitter entities, okay maybe not so photogenic – but their self professed “leading discount wine retailer” assertion seems more valid with nice photo shares of purveyors and clients. Their Klout score obviously is well deserved for rapid and repeated tweeting too. I’ll check out their site url.

The Wine Society may actually be a stuffed shirt society of snobby, rich wine lappers, but I don’t think so. For one thing, images like the one below of all those empty glasses foretell of a happy crew for me. It’s true these guys hardly follow anyone compared to those who view their tweets, but maybe The Wine Society is just busy, important, or inebriated? Dare I? Just fun ya’ll. (pssst! Get a logo that isn’t blurry)

Jeff Gordon Cellars? Say what? Yes, the world’s greatest NASCAR driver is into lots of things, including wine-making. And oh yes, just like his racing Jeff Gordon takes his wine pretty seriously too. The image below shows this off some. What’s interesting to me is, even for a celebrity Jeff actually follows people (or at least the SM manager does).

Ann Tran is, and should be, the top of the heap where hospitality on Twitter goes. I am not just saying this because she follows me either (tho this does not hurt). A top Social Media consultant, blogger, travel guru, and Huff Po writer, Ann likes the best in life – beaches, wine, photography. Now the astute Twitter lover can glean how come she is really in this list, huh? Let me elaborate so “would be, you forgot me” comment makers might be swayed.
Ann follows 218,028 people, she is followed by 354,292, she tweets every day and regularly, her Klout score is even higher than mine, she is just plain cute, and best of all she loves to take and share images.
