Tune Hotel Ipoh Opens its Doors

The new Tune Hotel Ipoh

Tune Hotels, one of the leading value hotel brands in Southeast Asia and the UK, has just unveiled its 11th Malaysian property in the heart of Ipoh City, Perak, one of the country’s major tourist destinations made famous for its limestone hills, its caves and its lush green scenery.

Famous for pioneering their “Pay-as-you-use” concept in which travelers’ pay room rates according to the amenities they use, Tune Hotels have embarked on a rapid expansion since the opening of their first hotel in Kuala Lumpur back in 2007. Under the concept, guests have the option of adding amenities such as air-conditioning, towels and toiletries, Wi-Fi in room and satellite TV, paying an extra charge for each, or simply going without in order to save money on their bill.

Tune Hotel Ipoh is the first under the Tune Hotels brand to feature the new redesign of the company’s Brand Standards, which have taken into account customer feedback over many months to revamp the customer experience from top to bottom.

Mark Lankester, CEO of Tune Hotels, had this to say about the company’s new Global Brand Standards:

“As we grow globally, it’s becoming more and more important that we have a universally common design DNA. We’ve worked closely with a bunch of really talented designers to come up with a look and feel that we like and most importantly, our guests like. More fun, funky and sleek.”

“The Tune Hotel Ipoh is the first Tune hotel on the platform to ‘wear the new clothes’ and we’re delighted with the results. Over time all the current Tune Hotels will slip on the new look and all new hotels in development will likewise have the new Brand Standards.”

To mark the occasion of the grand opening, Tune Hotel Ipoh are offering rooms for the discounted price of just RM8 ($2.50) per night, as part of their bid to encourage tourists to celebrate Visit Perak Year 2012:

“In support of Visit Perak Year 2012, Tune Hotel Ipoh provides an option to local and international visitors to Perak to stay in a world-class accommodation at extremely affordable rates, providing the essentials for a good night’s sleep. Our centrally located properties in Malaysia, provide convenient, comfortable and value-for-money accommodation for leisure or business travelers. The addition of the Ipoh Tune Hotel represents the extension of Tune Hotels’ progressive visibility across Malaysia.”

Perak is also the home of one of Malaysia’s most impressive royal towns. Kuala Kangsar is dominated by three stunning architectural feats – the royal palaces of Istana Kenangan and Istana Iskandariah, and the famous Ubudiah Mosque, often regarded as the most beautiful in the country.
