The Košice Music Spring is the biggest classical music festival in Slovakia. Held in Košice, the music fest is a one week affair for 2014 from April through dates in May. Founded in 1956, the festival is one of the oldest music festivals in Slovakia and is considered the highlight of Kosice’s concert season.

This year visitors can thrill to fabulous performances by the Slovak Philharmonic, the Prague Baroque Orchestra, the choir of the Rzeszow University, and many other marque performers and groups. Various chamber ensembles, as well as guest appearances such as famous violinist/cellist Michaela Fukacová (video below) are scheduled.
