“The Human Body” Exhibition Comes for the First Time in Romania

Over 200 exhibits – real human bodies – that offer a unique three-dimensional perspective are available in Bucharest at the “The Human Body” Exhibition open for the first time in Romania. The exhibit can be visited can be visited until June 30, daily from Tuesday to Sunday inclusive, from 10.00 – 20.00 at the National Museum of Natural History “Grigore Antipa”.

This exhibition aims to provide its visitors the unique opportunity to see the human body from a surgeon’s perspective – discovering what it is under the skin and how the human body works. Another goal of this exhibition is to make people more aware of the way they are treating their bodies, to urge them to respect their bodies and to pay attention to how they choose to live. For instance, people can see the impact of smoking, obesity and other diseases have on their bodies.

“The Human Body” Exhibition traveled in cities such as London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bratislava, Budapest, Dublin, Kiev, Lisbon, Madrid, Prague, Turin, Vienna, Oostende and was viewed by more than 20 million visitors.

The human bodies included in this exhibition were unclaimed and donated respecting the Chinese law to the Dalian Hoffen Bio-Technique Laboratory. A special technique – plastination – was used to preserve them.

Ticket prices are:
Adults
– Tuesday-Friday: 50 lei / person.
– Saturday-Sunday: 60 lei / person.

Pensioners / Students
– Tuesday-Friday: 40 lei / person.
– Saturday-Sunday: 50 lei / person.

Children (7-18 years old)
– Tuesday-Friday: 32 lei / person.
– Saturday-Sunday: 38 lei / person.
