Coming this season in Chania, tour provider The Hellenic Odyssey offers experiential cultural and culinary tours of Chania and surrounds.

The tours are designed as immersive cultural and culinary experiences which introduce visitors to the transformative nature of Crete, and are aimed at promoting connection with oneself, others and the world.

The premise of the new tours is to connect like-minded people in natural surrounds, for an individual and collective inspiration. According to the company:

“The ideal traveler is one who wants to explore Crete as a visitor, not as a tourist. One who is willing to become intertwined with the locals and who will immerse themselves in the experiences.”

According to The Hellenic Odyssey, their “ideal traveler will understand that our tours are different.” And judging from the company’s offers this season, it seems the creators have jumped outside the usual into a personalized experience.

The tours are based on small group numbers the company says will create a more personalized experience. They also promote what they term “slow travel” where visitors take time to embrace Crete and its culture fully.

The tour includes accommodations and welcome drinks, a daily Cretan breakfast, some of the lunches and dinners, private transport, town center guided tours of Chania and Rethymno, a nature walk, a visit to the ancient Ano Vouves olive tree, a day trip to Balos Lagoon, and much more.
