Digi.travel Cyprus International Conference & Expo

Coming up January 16th at the Filoxenia Conference Center in Nicosia, Cyprus, the 3rd annual Digi.travel Cyprus International Conference & Expo will bring to the forefront the most important trends and developments in digital technology for the travel industry. Organized in cooperation with of A.C.T.A. (Association of Cyprus Travel Agents, this year’s conference follows the highly successful 6the Digi.travel EMEA Conference & Expo held in Athens.

As in previous years, the Tourist Association Offices in Cyprus (ACTA) is the local co-host of the popular travel industry conference that addresses the key issues and opportunities of tourism business. This year’s keynote speaker, Orestes Andriani, who is the Tourism Director of Google for Greece, Cyprus, Malta, and Bulgaria, will present cover key issues for inbound tourism based on data gleaned from the recorded digital routes of travelers.

Sponsored by the Cyprus Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Tourism, Cyberlogic, Emporio, Blue Air, and a cadre of other key entities, this contingent of Digi.travel will also feature a welcome address by Cyprus’ Deputy Minister of Tourism, Savvas Perdios, and a welcome by Vicky Karantzavelou, who is the Co-owner & Editor in chief at Travel Daily News Media Network, and one of the founders of the Digi.travel events. This year’s Digi.travel Cyprus International Conference & Expo will feature speakers like Panagiotis Theodorou, founder of the B2bars will discuss how technological trends like Chatbots can be leveraged by the tourism offices. Professor Dr. Dimitris Koutoulas will offer advice on how marketers can avoid the pitfalls of incoherent strategies. Other speakers this year include: Stergios Panagiotakis is the CEO & co-Founder of Cyberlogic; Michalis Shaelos, Head of Merchant Relations JCC Payment Systems LTD; Arsenis Paschopoulos, Managing Partner of Just On Line digital marketing; and Sojern’s Costis Fronimos.

At the close of the conference will be held an interesting debate about how tourism businesses to make use of digital information/news networks and blogs.
