The Norway-based company founded in 2009, Stay.com announced that it has partnered with more than 100 experts in various fields and includes on the website best places for any tastes and needs to visit in each city featured. Local professionals – chefs, artists, fashion designers, bartenders and baristas – picked out their favorite places in their fields in the city they live in. Stay.com now has an even wider collection of places to see, eat in, accommodate, etc. to choose from and create own travel guides.
Stay.com allows you to also invite your friends and create interesting and useful travel guides together. It is actually very easy to create such a guide: you just need to create an account – you can use your Facebook account or create a new regular Stay.com account – and then you are free to start creating your travel guides. You pick the city you want to present and add just a few words describing the guide and then add locations you want to be included in your travel guide. There are different tabs allowing you to search restaurants, attractions, etc. from the city you are interested in. Simple and fast. You can share your guides with your friends and you can also edit them later – add new recommendations, for instance.
There are iOS and Android apps available, so that you can have Stay.com with you, all the time. Moreover, you can travel offline by downloading the entire city and then browse the map offline to find the best places to go when in a city included in their list.
True, there are still cities to be added – for instance I cannot create a guide for my hometown: Bucharest, Romania, as it is not featured yet, but I hope they’ll include it on Stay.com cities list sometime.
