Starwood Hotels & Resorts will link up with Amrey Hotels S.L. to operate a Four Points Hotel in Barcelona. The hotel, Four Points by Sheraton Barcelona Diagonal, is scheduled to open this fall spreading the Starwood Four Points brand into Spain. The hotel will offer 154 guest rooms, 24 hour dining, as well as other typical “Four Points” amenities, according to the news.
Roeland Vos, President, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, had this to say about the new opening:

The Four Points by Sheraton Barcelona Diagonal will feature all of the brand’s defining elements, including the signature Four Points by Sheraton Four Comfort bed, Best Brews™ local beer experience and free Wi-Fi in all public areas, reflecting the brand’s promise and insight into the needs of today’s traveller. The hotel will also offer three meeting room spaces, a pre-function area and a business centre.

The hotel is located within 22@, or Barcelona’s innovation district, an area redeveloped in 2000. Hotel guests will be in the midst of Barcelona’s design and media heart, as well as shopping and retail attractions. Starwood already has 15 hotels in Spain, but this will be the first Four Points offering. Converting the existing Amrey Diagonal Hotel Starwood is renovating and re-branding it as part of Starwood’s strategic plan to convert key hotels throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
