News from Sochi, Russian Railways said yesterday the introduction of additional security safeguards will be placed at entrances to some 32 train stations across Russia in anticipation of the Olympics.

According to the Moscow Times account of the story, high speed rail stations serving Sapsan and Allegro trains between Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Vyborg, along with other major stations like Sochi and Adler near the games, are to be affected.
President Vladimir Putin’s tight focus on security for the Olympics has been nearly continually in the news.
