Hoteliers: SnapShot Travel to Build the First Analytics Platform for Hotels of Any Size

There are several hotel analytics tools and SaaS platforms available, some powerful, but outrageously expensive for small hoteliers, others lacking vital features to help hotel marketers manage Big Data and demand. Things will change, according to SnapShot Travel Co-founder & COO David Turnbull:

We want to empower hotels with the tools they need to make better data-driven decisions.

The company has recently secured no less than 25 million EUROS in series B funding from Beijing Shiji Information Technology Co (Shiji Networks), a company that provides IP solutions for over 6,000 hotels across China. Previously to infusing the capital in SnapShot Travel and to form a partnership with the company, Shiji Networks have partnered with Alibaba’s Alitrip Travel. SnapShot also received seed investment from STR and STR Global in a previous investment round, which was used for building hospitality’s first Hotel Demand Management platform.

SnapShot is the answer to a common problem: hotels having too much data to manage with existing tools, and, yet, too little insight in order to understand all the ramifications of key management decisions. To tackle the issue, SnapShot is building one of the most comprehensive and advanced data analysis platforms ever. Nicknamed internally “The Grid,” this platform already has the tools to structure and analyse hotel information like no other in the world. However this is not enough. SnapShot is not something simply designed for the power-users. The company sees the need to develop something that will help every hotel in the world tame the big data conundrum. Hoteliers are invited to sign up now for early access to the beta testing that will be launched in early 2016.
