Two new tours to the Republic of Yakutia called “Amazing Yakutia” and “Hospitable Yakutia” will show travelers all that is magical about this mysterious and fascinating part of Russia.
Starting with the Festival of Ysyakh and the Yakut New Year, people can book the tours from leading travel operators in the Russia. In the Summer of 2016 th Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Development of Tourism in Yakutia welcomed visitors from these leading tour companies to experience the region like their clients will. The news was reported on the website of the government of the Republic of Sakha.
For those unfamiliar the region was first established on 27 April 1922 as the Yakut ASSR in the composition of the RSFSR and the USSR. Then in 1991, the Yakut ASSR got its present name — the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The region is the largest in the Russian Federation, as well as being the largest administrative area in the world. Yakutia is actually even larger than the second-largest state in the CIS, Kazakhstan, and is even larger than Argentina, but with a fraction of the population of those countries.
