  • "Open to guests for wellness or entertainment, the facility is one of those rare wellness adventures that is guaranteed to melt tension away. This is pure entertainment; not wellness or therapy and it certainly isn't wellness for the dolphin. Ridiculous!

    • Thanks for taking your time Brenda. This is subjective, of course. As someone who has spent a little time with dolphins I can say this, they do enjoy human interaction. As for the therapeutic aspects, there is a lot of research that points to positive results. The Henry Spink Foundation has a lot of information if you wish to read up. I know that animal-assisted therapies for children with autism and other maladies like cerebral palsy are clinically proven. This Texas Women's University study also reveals the merits of such therapies.

As you suggest, the experience for the animals themselves is also highly subjective. I am sure there is research in this realm as well, but I hope my point is well received. Thank you again.
