Russia Snatches Top Destination Spot Among Chinese Visitors

Russia took the first place among European destinations, and third in the overall list of countries visited by Chinese tourists during “Golden Week”, the national holiday of China. From October 1st through 7th, China travelers celebrated by traveling visiting their top 10 favored destinations which were; the Republic of Korea, Japan, Russia, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia, Vietnam, Malaysia, France and Singapore, in that order.

Each year Chinese people celebrate”Golden Week” by heading out to their favorite touristic spots, and Russia has apparently done a great job of promoting her tourism wares. Active promotion of travel opportunities in China and creating a favorable tourist image of the country top the list of positive initiatives. Also key to Russia’s new favored destination, is in affording Chinese travelers the opportunity to visit Russia under the visa-free group communication. 

Furthermore, some 13 regions of Russia already operate a “China Friendly” program, adapting service to the needs of tourists from the world’s fastest growing tourism segment. According to the Russia tourism experts, Chinese tourists enjoy the beauty of Golden autumn, and especially parks, such natural Moscow attractions as Kolomenskoye and ENEA. According to the Xinhua news Agency, in a week from China about 1.4 million tourists from China have made foreign tours, but the most popular countries for vacation are the Republic of Korea, Japan and Russia.
