Rodos Cup 2019 Yachting Event a Resounding Success

The Rodos Cup 2019 international sailing race, organized by Offshore Yachting Club of Rhodes and the Region of South Aegean, wound up a resounding success. The race reaffirmed the event’s importance as one of the top sailing races of the Southeast Mediterranean.

In all, some 537 sailors from 13 countries participated in and completed the last leg of this 23rd running of the regatta on Friday morning, creating new experiences and producing beautiful images of this year’s events. Boats started from the picturesque island of Symi and finished at Rodos, early noon, in the area of the Aquarium. The Rodos Cup 2019 spectacle was witnessed by the visitors and bystanders that were lucky enough to be at the northern tip of the island at the time of the conclusion of the race. Boats from the U.S., Greece, the UK, Russia, Israel, and more participated in the various classes.

The Closing Ceremony took place on Friday night, during which the awards were given to the winners.

The OYC Rodos Cup is the largest international sailing race in Greece.
