New Tour and Activity Platform Rezdy to Go

Tour and activity operators might be interested in giving this one a try. A new online booking engine is hoping to revolutionize the activities industry and help operators to boost their internet bookings like never before.

Rezdy.com is a brand new start-up specializing in handling bookings for the leisure and tourism industry. Quite simply, it’s designed for tour operators to make their lives easier by carefully organizing all of their bookings in one simple, easy to use location, leaving them free to focus on other aspects of their business.

One of the biggest problems for tour and activity operators, up until now, has been the lack of a specialized reservation system geared towards booking activities. Previously, tour operators have faced the stark choice of either developing their own system (a very costly investment), or using an inefficient platform designed primarily for hotel or appointment bookings. Not anymore.

Rezdy offers some great little features that tour operators would die for. Most important of these is the visual calendar feature, which allows operators to view all their bookings for the week or month ahead at a glance, enabling them to immediately establish  which products are fully booked and when, what dates are free etc, etc.

Users access Rezdy from a smart dashboard which consolidates all the important booking information in one place, giving full control over their company’s full range of products, as well as summaries of important, upcoming events and access to new updates.

Understanding that accessibility is vital no matter where people may be (very important in the case of tour operators who might be out and about), Rezdy’s makers saw fit to make sure the platform is entirely web based, which means it can be accessed remotely from the darkest depths of the ocean or some distant swamp in the everglades – wherever the hell users may end up.

Two options are given to accept bookings through Rezdy. First, operators can choose to accept reservations on demand, which means that requests are forwarded to their inbox to be manually assigned (ideal for those whose activities only have limited availability). Second option is for real-time bookings, which means that users can create and display product availability on their websites. This allows for customers to check availability by themselves, before booking and making an immediate payment. Email confirmation is then sent out automatically, meaning that all the operator has to do is check up on things now and again – a great option for anyone who is perhaps a bit too lazy (or clumsy!) to check if anything has been overbooked.

Product booking: Users set availability and customers can book their activities in real time

All in all, we think Rezdy has some great potential. It appears to offer everything that tour operators could possibly want, and with packages starting at just $19.99 a month, it’s gotta be worth a try.
