Rail Europe Rebrands Voyages-sncf.com

Rail Europe, a leading ticket platform, is being rebooted as Voyages-sncf.com.

Now trade bookings made from any of Rail Europe’s ticket outlets across the continent will be go on as per usual, according to news from Travel Weekly. Existing customers will be informed of any changes forthcoming, and all current customers will be redirected to the newVoyages-sncf.eu site.

According to a pre-announcement by Rail Europe Corporate earlier this year:

“The Voyages-sncf.com group offers a powerful, flexible network to meet changing customer needs and an evolving train distribution landscape. Voyages-sncf.com covers more than 30 countries via public websites, multilingual mobile applications, 6 shops (London, Brussels, Cologne, Geneva, Milan and Madrid) and a call centre service. There are also dedicated websites for travel professionals, working with a network of more than 15,000 authorised travel agencies and partner tour operators.”

Interestingly, Travel Daily News, reporting on the India contingent of Rail Europe, reports the company’s new app as an edgy travel guide companion, whilst nowhere is there mention of the rebrand in the UK and Europe?

Apparently there’s myriad Rail Europe sites about the web, a somewhat confusing experience potential for those travelers not so Internet savvy. A small capitalized print appears above at least one of the Rail Europe websites, which reads:

RAIL EUROPE IS THE UK REPRESENTATIVE OF THE FRENCH NATIONAL RAILWAYS (SNCF)

That certainly cleared things up for us.
