International Theatre Festival Sibiu FITS 2014 “Now Showing”

Going on right now in Romania, the International Theatre Festival in Sibiu FITS is one of the most important performing arts fests in all Europe. Over half a million visitors are expected to take part this year in between June 6th and June 15th.

This year, 350 events are scheduled to take place in Sibiu before a gathering of spectators and artists from some 70 countries. Androulla Vassiliou, European Commissioner for Education, Culture and Multilingualism

Entry to the festival is free and includes many open-air events and special events, such as special conferences, film screenings and reading sessions, tickets are sold out for most of the theatre plays. The third largest such festival in the world in terms of sheer audience, this year’s contingent is the 21st such edition of the yearly event.
