Halloween is just around the corner and special events to mark this yearly holiday are starting to be announced. Great America Halloween Haunt will open on September 27, and guests will enjoy a good scare Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until Oct. 27 from 7PM to midnight, every evening with shows.
Two new sinister mazes will be launched in this year’s edition of the Halloween Haunt, reaching a total of eight walks of terror. The existing six mazes are: Slaughterhouse Annihilation, CarnEvil, Werewolf Canyon, CornStalkers, Madame Marie’s Massacre Manor and Toy Factory. Guests will see blood raining from the sky in the Dia de los Muertos, which action takes place into the forbidden jungle of El Chupacabra. Horrifying screams will be made by La Llorona, the Weeping Woman, while creatures of the night crawl from their crypts, while students will have a demonic surprise in the bloody halls of Zombie High.
“Halloween Haunt is the Bay Area’s premier fright event,” said California’s Great America Vice President and General Manager Raul Rehnborg. “Haunt provides terrifying mazes and in-your-face experiences, mixed with the added fun of all our thrill rides. Halloween Haunt at California’s Great America is the perfect place to confront your fears.”
But this is not all that Halloween Haunt at California’s Great America has prepared for this year’s edition. Clowns, chaos and surprises will be the main ingredients at the new Fun House Express in the Action Theater. Special scenes and themes are kept in this year edition too: dead pirates haunt you for your soul in Dead Man’s Cove, tortured spirits are lurking in the fog in the The Gauntlet, while the dead awake in the Underworld Alley.
This event is intended for guests 13 years and older, and the tickets can be found online at www.cagreatamerica.com/haunt with free admission for 2013 and 2014 Gold Pass holders. Moreover, students who present a valid student ID can receive up to $17 off the regular admission price.
Surprises, old and appreciated themes as well as new, bloody and scary scenes are the key elements that wish to make this sixth season a successful and horrifying one.
