Greece a 2020 Favorite With Netherlands Travelers

Greece recently won “Best Global Destination” at the Reisgraag Travel Awards in the Netherlands. With an overall review score of 8.4 out of 10, Greece has won the hearts of Dutch people planning 2020 vacations.

For 2019, over one million visitors from Holland visited Greece, and Crete island was their top destination. Other favorite islands for Netherlands travelers were Kos, Zakynthos, Rhodes, Corfu, Samos, Lesvos, Karpathos and Halkidiki.

Greece took the top award in the category for “Best Nightlife” with a score of 7.8 out of 10 on the Reisgraag.nl website. According to the news from Greek Reporter, the words “Fun,” “Entertainment” and “Recreation” were the top three words used by travelers when describing Greece in online reviews. This led to Greece being named the best destination in the entire world for “Fun and going out” on the Dutch Reisgraag.nl tourism site.

In addition, Greek clubs and entertainment venues earned an impressive 8.6 out of 10 from reviewers from the Netherlands travelers. Here on Crete nightlife chances range from wild parties to traditional Greek nights with Cretan musicians, and Netherlanders seem to love it. The wildest nightlife spots on Crete are in Malia, Stalis, and Elounda, while Chania town and Rethymno win out for the classy party vibe.
