Ghastly European Halloween Destinations

With Halloween just a couple of days off, travelers to Europe may be wondering what kind so ghoolish behavior to expect on the old continent. Well, while big time Halloween parties and such are bascially an American tradition, visitors and locals across the pond know how to have fun. Here are some events travelers may want to check out for selected destinations.

Paris Is Synonymous With “Fun'”

Okay, people in France have not quite figured out whether or not to “buy” into the whole spookiness of Halloween, or not. Mostly Parisians can be categorized in the “not” section, as they find a lot better to do than dress up like Frankenstein, and etc. Still, never to be underestimated, the French capital has its share of creepy places and people too. For your Halloween beneath the Eiffel Tower, maybe check out the Mysteries of Paris Tour, their Ghost Tour seems like the perfect mood setter before you head over to the Cantada Bar (above). Now there’s a place to either scare the Be-Jesus out of you, or thrill the pants off-n-ya.

Halloween Festival Madrid 2012

The Spanish are never ones to be left out of a good time. And while Madrid does not see every little kid running around the streets calling “trick-or-treat” Latin people really know their superstitions and how to get over them. That is, usually by delving headlong into them. Keeping this in mind, anyone headed over to the appropriately named “All Souls Cemetery”, make sure you’re dressed for you part. Now if you are into Resident Evil realism, partaking of some zombie busting with your paintball gun may be your cup of tea. Halloween 2012 at Iberika Paintball will involve splattering the living daylights out of the undead in Madrid.

Oh! You want a club to show off your costume, sorry. How about an appropriately named Dark Hole (image above)? These party people dress up every day and night.

Norway Is Just Plain Spooky

Who said Norway and its people were cool? From the looks of one Oslo Halloween show, things up there are going to get heated up pretty fast Halloween eve. The so called “Maniac” PainSolution performs acts of uncommon strangeness and darkness too. Scheduled to freak you out at the Jevnaker Ungdomsklubb, the video “To Bleed Or Not To Bleed” above offers clues to more than dress up.

Not to worry, for the more timid and the very young, there’s vampire face painting at the museum in Oslo too. Call the museum for details on that family fun.

Budapest.

Halloween Party @ Mix Club Budapest – the video above explains. The whole town may turn out and turn ghastly. Expect KARMATRONIC, ROBERTO, WHITEBOY, and CHRIS HANGACSI, plus more.

Das Spooked

Berlin may be the spookiest capital in Europe, at least it will be on Halloween eve. Don’t take my word, visit Halloween.de and follow the maps and links for yourself. Halloween Party Berlin promises to be an interesting way to spend the night, or eternity the way the peeps look above. For the end all German Halloween though, Drop Dead Festival may well be the dead end final destination to arrive at.

The Bloody Sexiest Halloween in Europe

Prague. Founded in 2009 by Jack Danini Productions, Student Zone, and Prague Never Sleeps, this event brings 5,000 devilish doers out for the Czech Republic’s underworld shindig. You tell me.
