The First lady of Poland, Anna Komorowska, accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of The Netherlands, will inaugurate the occasion on the afternoon of 21 March, at the Keukenhof International Flower Exhibition.

Between March 22 and May 20, visitors will be able to enjoy an amazing demonstration of floral art, consisting of romantic fields of flowers, spring’s brightest colors and the beautiful music of Frederic Chopin. Everything will be very carefully arranged in order to offer the same unique experience that guests have come to expect over the years.

Poland has played an essential role in the flowering bulbs’ market, becoming a very important exporter, which is why the country was chosen for this 63rd edition of Keukenhof.

The symbol of the Dutch horticultural industry, Keukenhof was initially known as the herb garden (“keuken” means kitchen in Dutch) of the Countess of Holland, Jacoba van Beyeren, between 1401 and 1436. Later, in 1840, the horticultural architects Zocher, designed a park in its place, laying the foundation of the contemporary Keukenhof Gardens.

The beautiful exhibitions and events, taking place every year in Holland, are a confirmation of the perfect symbiosis of the Dutch and its prosperous horticultural industry.

Visitors from all over the world are expected to relish the incredible atmosphere created by seven millions bulbs during blossoming, and visitors are urged to make the trip and see the spectacular floral display for themselves. As the old saying goes, if you haven’t seen Keukenhof, you haven’t seen Holland.
