Eastern Europe Rocks First Eurovision 2012 Semi-Final

Seven out of the first ten semi-finalists at Eurovision 2012 are Eastern European – a reason for millions in this part of the world, to celebrate last night: Romania, Moldova, Hungary, Albania, Cyprus, Greece, and Russia. They were joined in the winners circle by Denmark, Ireland and Iceland. With so many class acts, and a second semi-final to follow on Thursday, it’s harder and harder to predict the outcome of the final, following up on Saturday.

There are still 18 countries waiting for their chance to shine in the second Eurovision 2012 Semi-Final this Thursday: Serbia, Macedonia, The Netherlands, Malta, Belarus, Portugal, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Sweden, Georgia, Turkey, Estonia, Slovakia, Norway, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Lithuania.

Expect beautiful faces to match beautiful voices, striking ballads, and enthralling rhythms. Some of the most striking performances include Estonia’s Ott Lepland with Kuula (Listen) and Bosnia’s Maya Sar with Korake Ti Znam.
