Baku Hosts Eurovision 2012 Semi-Final [Live]

Tonight, May 22,  Baku, Azerbaijan will host the first 2012 Eurovision Semi-Final. The foreseen song contest, broadcasted live from the Baku Crystal Hall starting with 21:00 to 23:00 will feature 18 countries competing for 10 coveted places in the grand finale.

Europe’s favorite TV show, Eurovision is one of the world’s longest running spectacles of its kind. Presented by Nargiz, Eldar and Leyla tonight’s semi-final promises to be a high-quality spectacle followed by thousands of viewers from around the world.

This evening’s top 10 performances will go straight in the Grand Final of the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, taking place Sunday, May 26. The best acts will be selected equally by the national expert juries as well as through the already well-known method of televoting.

Considering that yesterday took place the Jury Semi-Final where the expert juries already resolute their nominees, it is merely for tonight’s viewers to vote for their favorites. Alongside people watching the show in Azerbaijan, Italy and Spain, viewers from each of the 18 countries participating tonight, will have the opportunity to vote their preferred act during the live show.

Final results will consist of confrontation between spectators’ votes and jury’s selection, which will remain secret until the long-waited announcement.

The evening will end in a big way, with the decree of winners.
