Exit Fest 2011 – Serbia Rocks for All Europe

Summer is music festival time across Europe, but nowhere more prominently than at Serbia’s Exit Festival event. Beginning next Thursday, July 7th, through Sunday July 10th, Novi Sad, Serbia will be the center of Europe’s music universe. The biggest festival of sound in South Eastern Europe, kicks off at the wondrous Petrovaradin fortress in Novi Sad.

If you had plans to visit Serbia, you are in luck, but if your plans only take you near the city of Novi Sad? Change them. Anyone with the slightest interest in music simply cannot miss Exit this year. Not only is the festival packed with talent, the venue is quite honestly something no traveler should miss. The short list of performers so far, reads like a the longest list of talent we’ve seen any time, scheduled so far are; Arcade Fire, Pulp, Portishead, Grinderman, Underworld, Deadmau5, Fedde Le Grand, Magnetic Man, Beirut, Tiga, James Zabiela, Digitalism live, DJ Sneak, Paul Kalkbrenner, Joris Voorn, Steve Aoki, Carl Craig, Marco Carola, Hadouken!(listen and watch above), Joachim Garraud, Gramophonedzie, tINI, Partibrejkers, The Good Guys, Svi Na Pod, and Petrol, just to begin with, more are signing every day.

Last year almost 170,000 guests attended this, one of Europe’s great music events, on the banks of the Danube. This year, as many as 200,000 fans are predicted to flock to this amazing event. The last day to buy tickets is rapidly approaching.
