Set to begin this Thursday the 7th, Croatia’s DORF – Festival of Documentary Rock Film is a very unconventional look at the genre of rock documentaries. For the traveler interesting in something a little bit unusual, this fest is a guaranteed fascinating entertainment/learning experience.
JAZZ APARTMENT (or how The Last Minute Open Jazz Festival came to be)
Set in wonderful Vinkovci to the far East of Croatia near Bosnia, the fest will offer visitors a rare look at rock idols via film, as well as workshops, exhibitions, promotions of books and of music, of course. First begun in 2007 with the original 13 films from 4 countries, DORF saw 41 movies last year along with some 5,000 fans. This year’s event will feature local, regional, national, and international films. Concerts, DJ sessions, art, and other associated offerings accompany this year’s event.
