We Do Local is a Cretan initiative to promote sustainable businesses on the island. They have a strong focus on hospitality and gastronomy, but they also promote local culture.

We Do Local follows an international trend that aligns local resources with business opportunities to better regional economies while raising awareness for sustainability and responsibility. But We Do Local is different in that that it offers a membership platform that offers 10% off for a hotel stay and other perks.

Certified We Do Local business members enjoy a plus of competitive advantages, including better marketing tools than non-members. Guests prefer businesses that offer authentic hospitality and local produce and the We Do Local logo helps them choose the companies they trust to deliver what they expect.

Certified We Do Local members also can promote their business worldwide via the “Local Production and Hospitality SA” Company, which was set up for this purpose. They can advertise their business and activities on the www.wedolocal.gr website and on related social media channels, reducing promotion costs.
