In a bit of great news for Bulgaria tourism, hotels on the Black Sea have reportedly closed bookings for the Summer holiday season. According to reports, the season is completely sold out for the 2016 season.
Apparently, the overflow of tourist bookings from Egypt, Turkey and other crisis hurt areas left Bulgaria with a flood tide of travelers who searched for other international destinations. Increases in tourists from Germany, Russia, Poland, and the UK top the list of travelers now headed to the seaside resorts of Varna, Tsarevo, Burgas, Sozopol and others.
Earlier this month news arrived telling of Greece and Bulgaria, two of Turkey’s neighbors, stepping up to lure Russian tourists to take advantage of Moscow sanctions on Ankara. Greece began granting three-year visas for Russian tourists with a single-day procedure, as Bulgaria has lowered its visa fees.
