Breaking News: Sandstorm on Crete – in Images

Regardless how beautiful they are, sandstorms are health hazards.

Crete has been experiencing a wretched sandstorm since about 4 pm today and the air is already unbreathable. But the images are breathtaking. Using no filters, these are the island sceneries of the day.

I have reported live on YouTube and Facebook earlier today when the air was still breathable. The camera on my phone doesn’t do justice to what really happenes on the island. It’s all worse than it looks, and yet so stunning beautiful. A paradox, if you will.
