Attica Governor Patoulis Releases Video Promoting the Region’s Culture

Attica's own, Governor George Patoulis - Attica Website

A wonderful new promotional video from the Region of Attica reveals the amazing touristic value of this Greece destination. “Attica. Culture in a Word”, is part of a very informative tourism campaign aimed at inviting international travelers back to this unique region.

Regional George Patoulis pointed out for media outlets recently how this new video highlights culture, which is one of Attica’s “most significant” comparative advantages.

Governor Patoulis issued an invitation for travelers to visit Attica’s spellbinding monuments, museums, and modern cultural venues like the National Gallery, the National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST), and the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation, plus much more.

Attica, for those unfamiliar, encompasses all of Athens, as well as famous places like Marathon, and unique islands such as Salamis, Hydra, Poros, Kythira, and many others. Attica is more than just Greece’s most populous prefecture. This is where what we now know as western civilization took its deepest roots.

This is the home of ideas and arts that go back more than 6,000 years. It’s safe to say the region is one of the key cultural hubs of every age, not only that of the distant past. The famous Acropolis is here, but so are festivals, Greek dramas, and sporting and cultural events found nowhere else on Earth.

There’s the fascinating port of Piraeus, Elefsina (aka as Eleusis), not to mention the intoxicating sights, sounds, and smells that permeate the bazaars, the windy streets of Plaka, and the quaint villages that surround the metropolis. To find out more, readers should visit the official site of the region here
