Angel Fire Resort in the Southern Rockies of New Mexico, has opened a new multi-station Zipline Tour at its Angel Fire Resort ski mountain. The Angel Fire Zipline Adventure Tour, the highest elevation zipline tour in the United States and first of its kind in New Mexico, is expected to be a major attraction for summer tourists along with other features. The Zipline Tour is part of Angel Fire Resort’s new Summit Adventure Center, an activity park on the resort’s ski mountain.

Dave Dekema, director of marketing, Angel Fire Resort states:
“Reservations for both our Zipline Tour and our guided mountain bike tours in our Bike Park are filling up quickly. We’re seeing great temps in the low 70’s and clear blue skies, which is giving our visitors a perfect location to beat the summer heat and try out some new activities we have to offer.”
Angel Fire Resort will offer high elevation segments that start at the 10,600’ summit and milder courses for beginners. The Zipline Tour includes a basic training “flight school”. There are no age restrictions, but riders must weigh between 70 and 270 pounds.
This month Angel Fire Resort also kicks off the annual Movies Under the Stars at The Angel Fire Resort Country Club. The resort will show an outdoor movie and offer free popcorn, starting at dusk, every Friday in July (weather permitting). The event is free for all and open to kids of all ages. Angel Fire has also expanded its Bike Park with several miles of beginner and intermediate cross-country and downhill terrain.
Summer Adventure Lodging and Activity packages are available starting at $89 a night.
