Aeroflot Continues Fleet Expansion: Takes Boeing Delivery

This month Aeroflot continued its fleet expansion with delivery of a new Boeing 777-300ER named in honor of Anton Chekhov, the famous  Russian author. Configured in a three class arrangement, the new 777-300ER also includes increased leg room, an upgraded on-board menu, additional baggage room and more Aeroflot Bonus reward miles. So far this is Aeroflot’s 6th aircraft in the class. Other aircraft additions signal the Russian airline taking off with expanded flights and service.

Other features Aeroflot is announcing include;  better fuel efficiency, a more spacious cabin, as well as extended range and reliability. These planes can accomodate up to 550 passengers. Also in this news, the new aircraft are part of Aeroflot’s strategy to expand its route network and to open new opportunities in Russia and abroad.

Earlier this month the Russian carrier took delivery of a new A320 fitted with state-of-the-art aerodynamic Sharklets wing-tips. This aircraft was named in honor of Soviet cosmonaut Konstantin Petrovich Feoktistov. The image above shows the new 777 cabin layout and seating. Additionally, April saw a seventh full-specification Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) join the Aeroflot fleet.
