A New Ferry Will Link Piraeus Port with Chios and Lesvos Islands

A sea route that will link the main Greek port of Piraeus, initially with Mesta on Chios island and afterward with the port of Sigri on Mytilene, will be inaugurated on Saturday 15 June.

“Nissos Chios” of Blue Star Ferries will carry out the route, arriving at Sigri following a voyage of 8 hours and 40 minutes.

The schedule is the following:

  • – Nissos Chios will depart from Piraeus at 13:00 every Saturday, arriving at Mesta at 18:40 and at Sigri at 21:40.
  • – It will then depart from Sigri at 23:00 ev#

Chios Island is the fifth largest of the Greek islands, situated in the Aegean Sea, about 7 kilometers off the Anatolian coast. Lesvos, famous for being the birthplace of the ancient Greek poet Sappho, is a Greek island in the northern Aegean Sea off the coast of Turkey.
